Faculty Position Announcement by EE, POSTECH
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) invites prospective applicants for tenure-track faculty positions in the field of power electronics with special emphasis on motor control and applications to electric vehicles.
POSTECH is a highly prestigious university specializing in science and technology and located in South Korea. For new faculty members, the university provides seed research funding and generous fringe benefits, including a free apartment lease for ten years.
POSTECH has a bilingual environment (Korean and English) for both teaching and research. Thus, English speakers are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in electrical or computer engineering, and have an exceptional record of research achievements or be able to demonstrate strong research potential.
Applications should include (1) a summarized table of achievements (A hwp or doc template can be downloaded from the EE department homepage http://ee.postech.ac.kr ), (2) a detailed CV with a photo and a publication record, (3) a detailed description of research interests and plans, (4) transcripts (undergraduate and graduate), (5) copies of five major publications, (6) at least three recommendation letters sent directly by the recommenders, and (7) an electronic file including the files (1)-(5).
