Presidential Fellowship
Presidential Fellowship is set up to promote research on Medical Devices by POSTECH undergraduate and graduate students.
This fellowship was made possible by transferring some of President Yongmin Kim’s remaining research funds from his previous workplace, University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, to POSTECH.
■ Eligibility
Current POSTECH undergraduate and graduate students with the following exceptions:

– Students who are on a leave of absence (or planning to take one) from school |

– Students who are expected to graduate in August 2012 |
– Students who have less than four semesters left to graduate – Students who have had an academic warning |
■ The only condition for this fellowship is that students carry out research on medical devices and related areas
• Students from all departments are welcome to apply.
• High risk, clinically-relevant research would be favored.
• Collaboration with other departments and/or outside organizations is highly recommended.
■ Fellowship Period: May 2012 ~ February 2015
• A student can apply for up to 3 years, in 1-year increment.
• She/he should reapply and be revaluated every year.

– A total of $10,000 will be paid over one year. |
– A total of $20,000 will be paid over one year. – Other research expenses should be covered by the faculty advisor and/or the department. – Possibility to conduct research for 3 ~ 12 months in a UW lab in Seattle exists. |

※ A fellowship can be renewed until February 2015 on a yearly basis.
