The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology has a tenured/tenure-track professorship position available for a person with an excellent record of research and education in the area of surface science and engineering. The professorship is associated with the position of the Surface Engineering Laboratory within the institute, which is actively engaged in surface, coatings and corrosion research.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree, preferably in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, applied physics, physics or chemistry, but suitable candidates holding an advanced degree in other, closely related, fields are encouraged to apply. The entry level position depends on the merits of the individual applicants. The position comes with a very attractive remuneration package and an excellent relocation and housing plan.
