The 19th Commemoration of

the Late Founding President Hogil Kim

We will hold commemoration on the 19th anniversary of the late founding president Hogil Kim’s passing and request all faculty, staff and students to participate.

1. Wreath-laying ceremony

▶ Date & Time: Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 10:00am – 10:30am

▶ Venue: Hogil Kim Memorial Hall, in front of the bust of Hogil Kim on the first floor

▶ Program: Opening> silent tribute> floral tribute and incense burning

▶ Participants: POSTECH president, executive officers, faculty, staff, students, friends and family members

▶ Floral tribute and incense burning: Tuesdya, April 30, 2013 – Thursday, May 2, 2013 

2. Commemoration Speech

▶ Date & Time: Thursday, May 2, 2013, 07:30 pm

▶ Venue: International Conference Room, POSCO International Center

▶ Title: Research with Bare Hands, Passion, and Half a Century of Service

▶ Speaker: Dr. Jo Whan-gue, Former President of Seoul National University
